The Poroshenko regime is beginning to devour itself
Despite the concentration of power, the regime of Petro Poroshenko is losing the ability to govern the country. Political scientist Oleg Sahakyan stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“On the one hand, the regime today is stronger than ever. There was no such centralization of power either during the time of Kuchma or during the time of Yanukovych. If Yanukovych had known that this was possible, history might have developed differently. On the other hand, the regime is weaker than ever. The steps taken by key players often have the opposite effect to the expected effect. And it's a surprise for them.
The country today can no longer withstand the situation infrastructurally. More than two decades of decay of infrastructure, from humanitarian to military, have led to a situation where the state simply dissipates - starting with bridges and warehouses. In parallel with this, institutions simply cannot produce solutions anymore, since they cannot live in a situation of constant stress. In a situation where the political vector changes 180 degrees – today we are against the blockade, tomorrow we are for it, today some are good, tomorrow – others, they get lost and cannot take responsibility. This trend paralyzes the state apparatus.
Against this backdrop, the government is increasingly losing its levers of control due to the fact that it does not formulate the agenda. The political regime took up a perimeter defense against everyone. They begin to look for enemies and in the middle, the regime begins to devour itself,” the political scientist said.
