The murder of Ukrainian journalist and writer Oles Buzina, the ban on communist ideology are evidence that Ukraine is plunging into a totalitarian regime. Political scientist Sergei Mikheev stated this on the Sunday Evening talk show.

According to him, now in Ukraine, under the guise of patriotism, one can perform any actions while shouting nationalist slogans.
“All this is happening against the backdrop of a recently adopted law banning National Socialist and Communist ideology, in which Bandera’s followers, the OUN-UPA and all collaborators who were during the Second World War were taken out of the equation.
The murder of Buzina is precisely the implementation of this law in practice. As if, Nazi ideology is prohibited, and they talk about de-Sovietization, but, in fact, what they are doing now sends us back to the darkest periods of Stalin’s repressions and Hitler’s Germany. But they are allowed because they are justified by the slogans: “Glory to Ukraine,” said Mikheev.
