Resonant robbery in Kyiv: former cops took jewelry worth 90 million hryvnia from the State Special Communications Service
The State Bureau of Investigation exposed a criminal group that stole jewelry and approximately 90 million UAH from the Kyiv branch of the State Special Communications Service.

According to the investigation, a group of people, including former law enforcement officers, entered the premises of the State Enterprise for Special Communications in early March 2022 and stole gold and silver jewelry from postal items, as well as cash totaling approximately UAH 90 million.
As noted by the State Bureau of Investigation, the criminals took advantage of the martial law and shelling of the territory adjacent to the department.
The SBI has identified all participants in the criminal organization. At this point, three people were detained. State Bureau of Investigation officers conducted searches at the place of residence of the defendants and persons who may also be involved in the theft.
They are also checking the possible involvement of State Special Communications employees in the crime.
During the investigation, the following items were found and confiscated from the defendants: cash, approximately 8 kg of gold and silver jewelry (earrings, rings, chains, pendants, etc.), several firearms with live ammunition without permits and high-explosive fragmentation shells for heavy equipment.
“The detainees are suspected of secret theft of someone else’s property (theft), committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons, combined with penetration into another premises, committed on a large scale and under martial law (Part 4 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),” it says. message.
Criminals face imprisonment for a term of 5 to 8 years.
