The leader of the A Just Russia party, Sergei Mironov, stated this on the talk show “Politics with Pyotr Tolstoy.”

According to him, after statements by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov that “Russia respects the choice of the South-East,” we need to go further and officially recognize the expression of will.

“Russia must recognize these elections. This is a fait accompli and a completely different story that is developing in Novorossiya. That turnout and mobilization of the population is a clear answer to Kyiv and the leaders of Kyiv politicians that the realities are such that the people want independence and have elected a legitimate government,” said Sergei Mironov
