Russia and Syria will cease fire in Aleppo if the UN withdraws Jabhat al-Nusra from there
Russia will consider the proposal of the UN Secretary General's special envoy for Syria, Staffan de Mistura, to withdraw Jabhat al-Nusra militants from eastern Aleppo. This was stated today by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

“I think that this proposal, at least the way it sounds, deserves the most careful consideration,” the Russian minister said.
De Mistura asks Russia and the Syrian government to stop the “bombing” of Aleppo to allow al-Nusra militants to leave the city. The diplomat noted that if the militants “with dignity” surrender their weapons and leave, he will “personally” accompany them.
Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, accused the West of starting an “extremist” information war against Russia in order to save Jabhat al-Nusra militants.
