RNKB will serve Donbass from the territory of the Rostov region
The largest Crimean bank RNKB (Russian National Commercial Bank) began expansion beyond the peninsula, despite the relatively low level of banking services in Crimea, writes Kommersant. The bank is opening new branches near Donbass: it announced the opening of four operational offices in Rostov-on-Don, Taganrog, Donetsk and Novoshakhtinsk. The bank's statement notes that this will allow it to be brought to a new, federal level.

Previously, the bank had only one office outside Crimea, in Moscow. In Crimea, the bank's network covered about 230 branches, 700 ATMs and more than 900 thousand issued cards.
The bank does not have problems raising funds (at the beginning of April, RNKB attracted 16,9 billion rubles from individuals and 7,3 billion rubles from legal entities), however, the possibilities for placing them are limited (at the beginning of April, the bank issued loans to citizens for only 2,7. 2,47 billion rubles, for legal entities - by XNUMX billion rubles)
As Dmitry Lipatov, partner of the Delovoy Fairvater company, noted, working with non-residents (including citizens from the unrecognized DPR and LPR) on Russian territory is not a violation. The Crimean bank, which is under sanctions, may focus on working with residents of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, since other Russian banks are afraid to deal with them due to the threat of sanctions against them.
