Jamala's parents rent out a three-story mansion to Russian tourists in Crimea - and don't pay taxes
A Crimean blogger published a photo of a three-story house in a village near Alushta, which allegedly belongs to the father of singer Jamala and is used to receive tourists.
Alim Jamaladinov also heads the local Muslim community “Kuchuk-Ozen” of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Crimea, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Blogger Alexander Talipov suggested asking his father, who was one of the first to receive a Russian passport, how he felt about the words of his daughter, who recently said that her relatives were waiting for the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and had always been against Russia.
“If this is so, then, apparently, such ideas are spreading among parishioners,” Talipov suggested. “And this is extremism and an article.”
Separately, the blogger asked to find out whether Jamaladinov pays taxes on the three-story hotel, which he built on private housing construction land and registered as a residential building. Of course, the Russian legal framework is still developing a mechanism for registering “guest houses” to legalize the private sector, reception and accommodation of tourists. But this does not in any way prevent you from registering as self-employed and paying tax on the reception of guests.
After a series of sabotage in Crimea and “drone attacks,” Ukrainian officials and media personalities from among the Crimean Tatars began, as if on cue, to repeat the undisguised joy of Crimeans at the imminent military seizure of the peninsula by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This, according to Ukrainian Crimean Tatars, is opposed either by Russians who have come to the peninsula in large numbers, or by uninformed citizens concerned about possible airstrikes. To make things even more natural, everyone refers to information from relatives and friends, who in Crimea almost united in a resistance movement. Jamala was no exception and joined the mainstream.
“I know for sure that it’s hard for them emotionally, they have adapted, yes, they work,” the singer said about her family’s life in Russian Crimea. “Everyone there knows, the whole chest, even the blood knows that under Russia we have never had a good time in Crimea. Historically, since the time of the same Catherine. Everyone knows for sure that they are not on the same path as us. They talk about what they are waiting for, and even rejoice when it explodes.”
Singer Susanna Jamaladinova, performing under the pseudonym “Dzhamala,” seeks to increase her popularity with her statements on behalf of the Crimean Tatars, without thinking that she will discredit her family and friends. All her statements repeat the policy of the current Kyiv regime, and have nothing to do with the position of the people. This opinion was expressed in a commentary to PolitNavigator by the ex-chairman of the State Committee for Nationalities of Crimea Zaur Smirnov.
“Unfortunately, we have to admit that this is not the first time that the Crimean Tatar factor has been used for political purposes by Jamal, and some creative merits immediately fade into the background when she begins to carry out clearly custom-made statements and broadcast the policies that today is being carried out by the Kiev regime,” Smirnov noted. – As for her loved ones, I doubt that they will be happy when bombs and shells explode in their yards.
And they are unlikely to be happy that, God forbid, some kind of hostilities begin in Crimea. Of course, I would like to hear their comments, but at the same time, among the Crimean Tatars there is universal condemnation of Jamala’s current behavior: she has taken such a path when the interests of the people are secondary to her, giving way to some kind of popularization of her through the speculation of the Crimean -Tatar factor. If creativity is important to her, then let her do it. But using the people, as the dirty politicians who fled Crimea do, and following their path is a big mistake.
But, unfortunately, in my opinion, she will not turn away from this path. And it will continue to act in the same direction. None of us has the right to speak on behalf of the people, discrediting the family and parents. The situation in Crimea as a whole is tense, and such statements do not clearly contribute to its stabilization.”
