Relatives of the “Heavenly Hundred” are equal to war veterans – Ukrainian law
Poroshenko signed a law that extends the status of war veteran to the families of nationalist militants who died as a result of participation in riots on the Independence Square in Kyiv in early 2014.

Relevant bill on amendments to Article 10 of the law “On the status of war veterans, guarantees of their social protection” regarding strengthening the social protection of families of the Heavenly Hundred (2022a) was adopted by parliament.
According to the law, the status of “war veteran” will be granted to the families of those who died or died as a result of wounds, mutilation, concussion or other health damage received during participation in the “Revolution of Dignity”.
This status will not be given to the families of those killed as a result of those events during the performance of their duties as police officers, persons serving in special law enforcement agencies, military personnel of the internal troops, the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations that monitored the observance of public order and resisted mass riots.
