Relatives of convicted Hizb activists are protesting the Maidan and provoking unrest in Crimea
Several dozen family members and friends of three members of the Hizb-ut-Tahrir organization banned in Russia, convicted of terrorism, came today to the building of the Council of Ministers of Crimea to demand a meeting with the head of the republic, Sergei Aksenov.
They were outraged by Aksenov’s post on the social network, in which he approved the actions of the Russian Guard, who dispersed the picket on the Crimean Bridge in support of religious extremists convicted in Rostov.
“I strongly advise Crimean supporters of Hizb-ut-Tahrir to abandon the ideas preached by this terrorist sect, hiding behind religion, and turn to true spiritual and moral values. I thank the employees of the FSB, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard, everyone who guards law and order, who protects Crimeans from existing threats,” Aksenov wrote.
Relatives of the convicted are outraged that they were not allowed to travel to Rostov to attend the trial.
“What is happening today is a continuation of what the Soviet government did. Our people do not trust the authorities completely. When they promise us, they are lying. Aksenov’s speech receives comments that show chauvinism and hatred of the Crimean Tatars. That we are second-class. They called me an extremist for returning to Crimea. If he doesn’t come out, it means he’s ruining Russia and leading to ethnic conflict.
We understand that everything does not depend on him, what is decided in Moscow. When our people began to return, there was not a single terrorist attack or demonstration with weapons. He communicates with Putin. Can't he really say that this is wrong? Or they are pushing us to become like that too, and here blood is shed. Or they want to jail everyone,” one of the protesters was indignant.
Chairman of the State Committee for Nationalities of Crimea Albert Kangiev came out to them and promised to organize a meeting with Aksenov on Monday.
The scandal under the walls of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan was commented on by Crimean political scientist Ivan Mezyukho to PolitNavigator.
“I believe that the state must respond to such demands in accordance with the law. Firstly, no one probably authorized the holding of an unauthorized event. And, apparently, today’s crowd at the back door of the Council of Ministers did not approve the holding of a public event in the city administration of Simferopol.
Secondly, if someone wants to get an appointment with an official, even one of the highest rank, he must go through the appropriate procedures, but certainly not shout out on the street and demand that officials come to the participants of an unauthorized event. We live in a civilized society, in a civilized country; accordingly, communication between citizens and officials must take place according to the law.
I think that the very sending of relatives and some friends of detained persons to the leadership of the republic is wrong, because the judicial power is not subordinate to the head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, and people need to defend their rights, if they believe that their rights have been violated, in the judicial ok.
We live in Russia, and not in Ukraine, where ochlocracy has won. In Russian Crimea, the crowd will not replace law enforcement and judicial authorities,” Mezyukho said.
