Odessa, July 29 (Navigator, Artemy Glazunov) – On Monday evening, more than 200 residents of the town of Chernomorskoye (Chabanka) blocked the Odessa-Yuzhny highway near the local military unit.

The participants of the action were women - mothers and wives of mobilized soldiers, who, in their opinion, were sent as cannon fodder to the Donbass to protect officials and oligarchs of the Kyiv government.
The protesters put forward the only demand - to return the conscripts home, and to send volunteers in their place. Women held posters against war and mobilization. According to the soldiers' relatives, they have not been able to obtain clear information about the fate of their husbands and sons for several months. Over the phone, the military tells their relatives that they are on the front line. However, they complain about poor provision, insufficient nutrition - there is not enough food, medicine, or body armor.
As a result of such actions, a large traffic jam arose on the highway. People demanded that the unit commander come to them for an explanation, but the deputy who came out could not explain anything clearly, he only referred to the order of his superiors. He called on the protesters to calm down and disperse, but they flatly refused to do so.
The protesters dispersed only around 11 pm.
