Rogozin: Roscosmos no longer depends on Ukraine
The Russian Federation managed to overcome dependence on Ukraine in rocket technology in the space industry.
The head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, stated this during the “Industrial Policy in New Realities” summit, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Rogozin, the Russian Federation is now launching missiles based on its solutions.
“Roscosmos, to a huge extent, due to its Soviet origin, was dependent on Ukraine, because on the territory of Ukraine by 14, large companies such as the Yuzhnoye Design Bureau and Yuzhmash, a manufacturer of unique combat missile systems, survived and continued to exist. "Voevoda", which are now in service. And now “Sarmat” will precisely change it, so the creation of “Sarmat” is not just the creation of a formidable weapon to replace the one that we inherited from Soviet times.
The problem is different - the Russian Federation has never created this kind of weapon. Just like we never did aircraft carriers - we did it in Nikolaev. Therefore, we carried out a lot of very important events in Ukraine, and the import substitution program for Ukraine in Roscosmos ended in 19, when in September 19 the last Soyuz rocket flew off from Baikonur, where the Ukrainian on-board computer was located. Since then, we have been flying exclusively on our digital solutions,” Rogozin said.
