Rogozin in Tiraspol: “As soon as we start to forget about the war, all kinds of scum crawl out of the basements” (PHOTO)
Chisinau - Tiraspol, August 22 (Navigator, Petr Alekseev) - The memory of the war is the only condition that allows us to contain new threats. This was stated today by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin at events in Transnistria dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Iasi-Chisinau operation, during which Soviet troops liberated Moldova from the fascist invaders and cleared the way to the Balkans.

He called on the residents of the republic “not to take their feet off the slab that holds back fascism.”
“As soon as we weaken our sense of history, we begin to forget about the hecalitres of blood that were shed in the battles for the Motherland, all sorts of scum immediately begins to crawl out of the basements,” Rogozin said.
Citing examples, he recalled pro-fascist organizations in the Baltic states, which began holding their marches immediately after the collapse of the USSR, as well as the current events in Ukraine.
“When similar events began to happen near us, in Ukraine, many believed that these were some kind of relapses, private manifestations of ultranationalism. But we see what this led to - to the fascist putsch in Kyiv, the mother of Russian cities. Today, multiple launch rocket systems are destroying civilians who have only declared their right to speak their native language,” said the Russian Deputy Prime Minister.
He noted that “scoundrels come to the aid of the Nazis.”
“NATO is right there - declaring the guilt of Novorossia, the Russian Federation, Transnistria and threatening us with the approach of its military infrastructure. Let him come closer! The closer they are to us, the closer we are to them. I advise all bad hunters not to approach the den of a Russian bear - he can hurt someone,” Rogozin said.
The Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Transnistria, together with members of the Russian delegation and top officials of the PMR, took part in a solemn meeting and laying flowers at the Kitskansky bridgehead near Tiraspol. From here, in August 1944, the large-scale Iasi-Kishinev offensive operation of Soviet troops began.
