Roizman wants to drag Russia into Sino-American showdowns
Opposition blogger Alexei Navalny will not put Vladimir Putin on trial if he becomes president.
The former mayor of Yekaterinburg, liberal Evgeniy Roizman, stated this in an interview with Ukrainian propagandist Alesya Batsman, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If one day he goes to the polls and wins the elections, he will also understand that daddy doesn’t drink honey, and then everything, rhetoric, investigative films, everything will end. It will be very difficult to blame anything on the dashing nineties, on Putin’s rule. Everyone will be waiting for Alexey Andreevich’s results. I think he understands all this on the shore. If he succeeds, it will be a death sentence for Putin, and if he doesn’t succeed, it will be a death sentence for himself,” Roizman said.
At the same time, he hopes that President Navalny will improve relations with the United States.
“For Russia, good relations with America are one of the key conditions for normal existence. Because we have a paradoxical situation, we have a really complicated history with China, not because China is bad, but because China is expanding and because China is looking here, and against this background it would be natural to have some kind of contact and alliance with America, for opposition to China, for some kind of balancing of China.
Instead, they stick their head into the tiger’s mouth in order to somehow build a confrontation with the Americans, which is only necessary for ideological purposes within the country. It’s a completely ridiculous situation, narrow-minded, completely non-strategic thinking, and here many people have the impression that the modern Russian government has some kind of secret agreement with China,” Roizman said.
