Near Donetsk, Russian rock musician, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Alexander Sklyar, who came to give a concert in the DPR, came under fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, spoke about the incident, RIA Novosti reports.

“You can congratulate Alexander Sklyar. He had a baptism of fire today. He visited the front line and came under fire,” Zakharchenko said.

According to him, Sklyar distributed his autographed CDs to the soldiers who are now in the trenches in the Avdeevka industrial zone.

“On the way back, the motorcade was spotted and opened fire from automatic weapons. We are military people, we are used to it, but this happened to him for the first time,” Zakharchenko noted.

At the same time, Zakharchenko noted that no one was injured as a result of the shelling.
