About 400-500 people gathered around the monument to the leader. According to eyewitnesses, the surrounding area is noisy - firecrackers are heard exploding from time to time, and signal flares are being launched.

Activists say that the monument has been mined and sappers are coming. Despite this, they have already begun to cut Lenin’s legs with a grinder, but they do not give in.
According to local media, law enforcement officers are passive: they stand on the edge of the square and do not interfere with what is happening. According to the publication “Status Quo”, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations approached the scene of events and stated that they had received a message about the monument being mined. They did not ask people to disperse. Most of those gathered moved a little away from the monument, but remained in the square.
