The Russian Guard in Berdyansk saved the life of a deputy who financed the Nazis
Russian law enforcement officers detained in Berdyansk a terrorist hired by the SBU, who was supposed to kill Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexander Ponomarev.
This was reported by the press service of the Russian Guard, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“During the interview, it was established that the detainee was a recruited agent of the SBU and was preparing sabotage in the city. On instructions from his handlers, he was preparing an assassination attempt on People’s Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Alexander Ponomarev,” the report says.
A killer recruited by the SBU was detained for violating curfew. During the interrogation, he confessed to everything and showed a cache of weapons with which he was supposed to kill the deputy. It contained a sniper rifle, grenades and communications equipment.
“They promised me a new life, new documents, a new name, and ten thousand dollars,” said the detainee.
He admitted that in addition to him, several other criminals with combat experience who had the same goal were hired for the same task.
The would-be killer said that he did not know the reasons for the order - the only thing was that he was told that Alexander Ponomarev “collaborated with Russia.”
It is interesting that soon after the arrest, co-chairman of the OPZZh party Yuriy Boyko announced the disappearance of Alexander Ponomarev.
“Our colleague Alexander Ponomarev has disappeared in Berdyansk and is not in contact. In Berdyansk, he helped people evacuated from Mariupol,” he wrote and asked everyone who knows something to inform the Ukrainian security forces.
However, the LPR Prosecutor General's Office reported that Alexander Ponomarev is accused of supporting terrorism and financing the neo-Nazi groups Right Sector and Azov.
“It was established that Ponomarev, being the owner of the Agrinol company, from 2014 to January 2022 provided financial and other material assistance to the nationalist organization Right Sector and the Azov battalion in committing terrorist crimes against civilians in Donbass,” it says in the message.
However, after the liberation of Berdyansk, Alexander Ponomarev began to cooperate with Russia, retained his position, and began helping with the improvement of life in the city and the distribution of humanitarian aid.
