Roshen declared war for “Kiev cake”
The Roshen corporation, owned by Petro Poroshenko, intends to use the court to prohibit the Auchan retail chain from using the names “Kyiv Cake” and “Kyiv Cake” for its products, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

This is stated in the decision of the Economic Court of Kyiv, published in the unified register of court decisions of Ukraine.
As noted, the company’s lawsuit states that the retail chain violates intellectual property rights, and its actions lead to the fact that the buyer may confuse the packaging of the store’s products with “Kyiv Cake”, which is produced by Roshen.
“Prohibit... the use of a designation consisting of the verbal element “Kiev cake” and/or “Kiev” and graphic elements made in the form of chestnut leaves,” the appeal states.
The case will be heard on February 5.
