The Russian army is saving shells before the upcoming offensive - military correspondent
The shortage of shells, which allegedly began to be increasingly felt on the front line, may indicate an upcoming offensive and conservation of ammunition before that.
Russian military correspondent Dmitry Steshin stated this during a conversation with radio host Sergei Mardan, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Steshin, military personnel on the front line confirm the reduction in ammunition limits.
“Yes, everyone says. I came from the tankers and they said: “We’re almost trading for sausage.” So, they say, we work from morning to night from closed positions, we need high-explosive fragmentation shells. We have as many armor-piercing weapons as we want, but this is the limit.
Further insight - my friends come from near Marinka and say: “Listen, here the artillerymen covered the “three axes” [American M777 howitzer], a 155 mm cannon, they were fired for exceeding the ammunition consumption limit.” Well, normal people in general, what’s going on?..
Since the First World War and the Great Patriotic War, a strict limit on shells during active hostilities arises only before preparing for an offensive. I can’t go deeper,” Steshin said.
