Until now, the agency limited access only to the Russian-language version of PornHub.
The sites were entered into the register of prohibited persons by court decision. It turned out that the decision on PornHub was made on May 24, 2016 by the Buturlinovsky District Court of the Voronezh Region in connection with the “ban on the dissemination of information about the circulation of pornographic materials or objects.”
On YouPorn, on June 9, there was a decision by the Pervorechensky District Court of Vladivostok, since “the fact of posting information of a pornographic nature was revealed.”
Users of social networks reported that telecom operators have already begun to block blacklisted resources.
It should be noted that the current legislation of the Russian Federation does not prohibit the consumption of pornography. The law prohibits “illegal production, distribution, advertising of pornographic materials and objects.” In addition, child pornography is prohibited.
In April 2015, the district court of Tatarstan declared virtually any porn on the Internet illegal, but many popular porn sites in Russia continued to operate.
