Roscosmos does not want to imitate the Americans in sending blacks and women to the Moon
Russia is developing spaceships capable of flying to the Moon in order to explore the pole for the extraction of water, oxygen, hydrogen, and not to promote the landing of women or blacks on the lunar surface, as the Americans are planning.
Director of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin stated this during the federal Educational Marathon “New Horizons,” PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now I would like to show you the outlines of our lunar ship. The ship "Eagle" is four-seater, reusable. It has a resource of up to three flights to the Moon, and up to 10 flights to low Earth orbit.
The ship is currently being tested with us. It is manufactured by the Energia rocket and space corporation, and we plan to begin flight tests at the turn of 23-24,” Rogozin commented on the footage on the screen.
He spoke about the lunar exploration project.
“We are completing our work - the first lunar apparatus that should land on the surface of the Moon, in particular on the southern belt. Our scientists claim that this is where water ice is located. And water ice is water, it is oxygen, it is hydrogen as fuel for engines.
You see how the sampling of soil and regolith for its spectral analysis will be carried out by this apparatus itself. We hope to complete all testing by the end of the current launch window. By the end of September, we plan to launch this device from the Vostochny cosmodrome,” explained the director of Roscosmos.
In addition, he told, using the example of NASA, how Americans turn everything into politics.
“Do we need to repeat everything that the Americans want to do? Look, I’m talking with NASA, they say that they again want to send people to the Moon, and it must be a woman, or it must be an African-American. I say: what difference does it make to us - a woman or an African-American, the main thing for us is that people are trained, professionals.
Yes, here’s the difference: they solve their political problems with the help of missions. Who, which president will do this first - Democrats or Republicans? How does he treat voters if he lifts a woman to the moon? Like, women should vote for him. These are their games.
In general, every time I had a question: if the Americans were on the Moon, then why did they take so long to fly there again? Why have they still not been able to create a ship again, test it and a super-heavy class rocket that is capable of doing what they did in the late 60s. It’s not clear,” concluded Rogozin.
