Roscosmos estimates the gap in cooperation with Ukraine at 33 billion rubles
Moscow - Kyiv, July 22 (Navigator, Mikhail Stamm) - Roscosmos has calculated the amount of funds that will allow Russia to compensate for the gap in cooperation with Ukraine: by 2018, about 33 billion rubles will be required, and already this year - more than 3,5 billion rubles. Experts are surprised that Roscosmos did not worry about this earlier: even under Yushchenko it was clear that cooperation had to be curtailed.

Let us recall that on June 16, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko banned any cooperation with Russia in the field of the military-industrial complex. Until this moment, the Ukrainian authorities announced the cessation of cooperation in the military sphere in the production and supply of weapons and weapons to Russia, but the embargo did not apply to the joint production of dual-use products.
The range of Ukrainian products is quite wide. The documents on import substitution contain 56 proposals for three programs concerning the development of microcircuits, microprocessors, carbon fibers, voltage stabilizers, special chemicals, which are used in almost all spacecraft (including military purposes) and rocketry.
Roscosmos proposes, by abandoning lower-priority work, to carry out R&D in the interests of the Directorate for Combat Missile Technology and the Directorate for Launch Vehicles and Ground-Based Space Infrastructure. “In both cases, it will be necessary to adjust the state defense order for this year, as well as make proposals for its formation in 2015,” Kommersant’s interlocutor in the department clarified.
Corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Cosmonautics named after Tsiolkovsky Andrei Ionin is surprised by the amount announced: “Usually the biggest costs occur in the first year, in addition, the break with Ukraine was not unexpected, the first call was back in 2004, when Yushchenko came to power there, then It has already become clear that joint programs need to be curtailed.” In his opinion, Roscosmos should have been ready to end cooperation. “And if since 2004 we have remained within the framework of the same cooperation with Ukraine, then the people who were responsible for this direction in Roscosmos should be driven out of there with a filthy broom,” Ionin said.
