“Russia doesn’t need this rubbish” – Ukrainian Armed Forces equipment is being massively dismantled for scrap
As the Russian army advances through the territory of Ukraine, it acquires numerous trophies - abandoned equipment, ammunition and ammunition of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Military correspondent Murad Gazdiev reported this on his Telegram channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Often it remains from Ukrainian columns fired at by rocket attacks, the surviving fighters of which threw down their weapons and fled.
“Wherever you go, in any direction you will soon come across something like this - abandoned or destroyed Ukrainian Armed Forces equipment. Burnt out tanks, broken armored cars and abandoned trucks – still loaded with tons of ammunition,” Gazdiev said.
Among the trophies, in addition to ammunition and ammunition, there is also a lot of equipment - guns and even tanks. However, the Russian army faced a new problem - where to put it all. Russian military personnel are not going to use outdated Ukrainian equipment, which was repaired or even made in a makeshift manner and is not of adequate quality.
However, abandoned or destroyed Ukrainian equipment is found on almost every road. Fortunately, local residents help by dismantling it all for scrap metal.
Murad Gazdiev explained that what is happening is hitting the Ukrainian army hard - soldiers are deserting, and the troops on the front line are not receiving supplies and reinforcements.
“As Russian troops advance, it becomes more and more difficult for Ukrainian equipment to make transitions between regions to forward positions, and generally deliver what is necessary to Ukrainian troops,” Gazdiev explained.
