Kyiv, March 29 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – In the Kyiv media, Russia is compared to a gopnik-repeater, and Ukraine to a sucker and a frail child.
Yuriy Marchenko, editor-in-chief of the online publication Platfor.ma, resorts to such analogies in an author’s column on the pages of the Kyiv weekly “Novoe Vremya”, which is loyal to Petro Poroshenko.

“The face of official Russia is a gopnik, a petty street criminal,” the author believes. - A guy going to success, pressing mobile phones, explaining to suckers that they are wrong in life, and fearing only those who are stronger. Just like a repeat student who bullies his classmates but avoids the older kids.”
At the same time, Marchenko proposes an algorithm of actions for Ukraine.
“We, like a still frail child, need to do our best to fight off the bullying of a tall kid who is a repeater,” sums up the editor-in-chief of Platfor.ma. “And hope that adults will finally understand: it’s time to not only call the kid to order, but also pull his ears.”
