Russia faces loss of Transnistria - military expert
The victory of Maia Sandu in the presidential elections in Moldova, which the West is leading to victory, will threaten the existence of Transnistria.
Russian military expert Alexey Leonkov wrote about this in his Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Sandu’s attitude towards the PMR is known - this is its liquidation. Sandu hopes to solve this “problem” with the help of Ukraine. It’s not for nothing that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been preparing for war for so many years.
Whether there will be a forceful scenario in the PMR largely depends on two factors - the US elections and the resolution of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh,” Leonkov wrote.
In his opinion, Russian influence on the situation in Moldova, based on the results of the first round of elections, has been weakened.
“But the influence of Turkey in Gagauzia is visible to the naked eye. Therefore, if Russia remains on the sidelines, where it has now been pushed aside by Western political technologies in Moldova, then it will lose not only the PMR, but also Karabakh along with Transcaucasia, and they will not be able to return them back,” Leonkov wrote.
