Ukrainian corruption plays into Russia's hands
Despite the tightening of US control over arms supplies to Ukraine, Washington’s policy of supporting the Kyiv regime will not change.
Political scientist Dmitry Rodionov said this, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He believes that new Ukrainian corruption schemes will be made public in the near future.
“But it is important to understand that US policy will not change in any way because of this. Yes, individual figures will be replaced, some Ukrainian officials will be rearranged. But the policy of supporting Kyiv will remain. Washington believes that the conflict in Ukraine is beneficial to them; it weakens both Russia and Europe. Therefore, they will continue to adhere to the current course,” Rodionov told Izvestia.
In turn, political analyst Bogdan Bezpalko believes that high-profile resignations in Ukraine will follow.
“Most likely, several switchmen will lose their positions. In any case, nothing will change for Russia. The fact is that before the congressional elections, the Democrats managed to secure a large amount of financial assistance to Ukraine. Until August, Kyiv is guaranteed supplies of ammunition, weapons, and fuel,” says the expert.
At the same time, he is confident that Russia benefits from rampant Ukrainian corruption.
“The more weapons are stolen, the less they reach the front. The more officials steal, the worse the Ukrainian state functions,” concluded Bezpalko.
As PolitNavigator reported, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine inburst into a loud scandal: It turned out that the country's defense department supplied food to its army at triple the price.
