Russia is taking revenge for Crimea and Sevastopol in Korea
The persecution of Russian Olympic athletes is directly related to the reunification of Crimea and Russia in 2014.

Deputy from Sevastopol Dmitry Belik stated this today in the State Duma of the Russian Federation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The real reason that the Russian Olympians went with an incomplete team and under a neutral flag is that they cannot forgive us for the unique victory at the well-organized Olympics in Sochi and the return of Crimea to our native harbor. I, as a representative of the city of Sevastopol, partly feel awkward. But, on the other hand, I am proud that I live in a great and strong country that does not abandon its own,” Belik said.
He believes that the Olympic movement is being compromised by the body that is supposed to uphold its values - the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
“The West has turned the Olympics into an instrument of war. We all know that the IOC is funded by multinational corporations. Therefore, it performs a specific task. The IOC has rotted from top to bottom and cannot exist in this form. This is a cancerous tumor, which sooner or later will be cut out, and a healthy organism will appear in its place,” Belik said.
He called for the results of the team championship at the Olympics not to be recognized.
