Answering the question of how he sees Russia’s place in the new world order in 10-15 years, the expert emphasized that the path to a new world order will be difficult, but it must take place.
“I repeat, the main thing is to avoid war. It seems to me that the main thing, which Russia should also do, is to think about how to avoid war in the next 15 years. And think about the future, start building it together. Now Russia and the United States are trying to start something, but these negotiations can only be effective if other great powers join them. First of all, China,” believes Karaganov.
“If Russia does not fail, and I think it looks like it will not fail, it will continue to play the role of one of the three key global players. Due to historical reasons and, first of all, the shift of the world center to Asia and China's turn to the West, we find ourselves in a very advantageous position. We were unlucky for a long time. But lately we have started to get lucky,” the political scientist noted.
