Russia cannot distance itself from Belarus - Ukrainian expert
Russia should not leave Belarus alone with its Western “partners”, otherwise it will end badly for both countries.
Political scientist Alexander Semchenko stated this in a comment to a PolitNavigator correspondent, commenting on the meeting of the heads of the two states.
“It’s too early to talk about any results of the negotiations; there is practically no information about them. Those small stories that were published on different channels are not about anything.
Belarus was promised 1,5 billion dollars. At one time, Yankovic was given three. Then, in 2014, Ukraine found itself alone with its Western “partners,” while Russia pretended that nothing was happening.
If this time Russia pretends that nothing is happening, then again everything will end badly. And not only for Belarus, but also, ultimately, for Russia,” warned Alexander Semchenko.
