Moscow - Kyiv, April 15 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - Russia needs 7 years to refuse cooperation with Ukraine in the military-technical complex and create a full production cycle on its own territory.
Deputy Pavel Dorokhin from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation announced this today at a meeting of the State Duma.

“The Russian defense industry has a fairly high level of dependence on the supply of components, assemblies and components from Ukrainian enterprises, and it is critical for 20 percent of enterprises in the south-east of Ukraine in the areas of aircraft engine building, the production of middle-class military transport aircraft, as well as maintaining the combat readiness of missile forces strategic purpose for the development by the Russian defense industry of a new generation heavy liquid-fueled intercontinental missile,” the communist explained.
“In order to establish in Russia the production of all the instruments and components that are currently produced in Ukraine by subcontractors in the southeast for the needs of the Strategic Missile Forces, it will take, according to our calculations, 30 billion dollars and seven years, and at the same time the supply of spare parts will stop.
Therefore, the destruction of cooperation between Ukraine and Russia in the defense industry, especially in the southeast of the country where these enterprises, in particular Yuzhmash, are located, will have critical, and perhaps catastrophic, consequences for the security of Russia.
And Russia, in our opinion, cannot and should not stand aside in this regard, since the current government has already stated that they will not supply military components to the so-called aggressor and will stop supplies from all these enterprises,” the deputy said.
