Russia needs real import substitution, not a transplant from a western to an eastern needle, - Sivkov
In order to fundamentally break the situation and give the country new Tupolevs and Korolevs, Russia needs a personnel revolution.
Military expert Konstantin Sivkov stated this on the Internet channel “Red Line”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“I’m not even talking about the need for a full transition to import substitution. What is happening now under the name “import substitution” is simply a transplantation from a Western needle to a Chinese-Indian needle, to an eastern needle. And the technology there is American. The people who are now managing all this, they are unable to do this due to their mentality and due to their training.
Because a person who has been involved in financial transactions all his life, I would like to say fraud, that person, in principle, cannot do anything breakthrough in terms of design and organization,” the expert said.
“If Tupolev, Korolev, Kurchatov were not scientists and engineering specialists in their respective fields, but financiers, we would never have had either aviation, or nuclear forces, nothing would have happened. Therefore, the issue comes down to a complete personnel revolution, and it must be done from above. Qualitatively new forces must come to all leadership positions,” said Sivkov.
