Russia has nowhere else to retreat, but the West is starting to get tired
For the West, the current conflict in Donbass is not vitally important, so the degree of fatigue is beginning to play into Russia’s hands. About this at the opening of the camp “Crimea. Donuzlav - 2018,” said Russian political scientist Sergei Markov, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Our task is to withstand the sanctions blow, understanding that we will not win this hybrid war with the Europeans and Americans, but we don’t need to win. Because they are not fighting for vital interests. We hope that they will most likely get tired of this war, which is also costly for them, and will eventually leave us behind, take care of their problems, and we will be able to enter the trajectory of normal development,” the political scientist said.
“At the same time, we understand that nothing more can be handed over. There is nowhere to retreat further. And so Ukraine was captured by the enemies of Russia. We will no longer give in, we will pump up resources. The West is not in an ideal state, it seems that after some time they will get tired of this struggle, then we will improve relations,” added Sergei Markov.
