It’s time for Russia to stop the plundering of the post-Soviet space by radicals and nationalists – Turkologist
In order for wars to stop, it is necessary to overcome in small steps what does not suit the conflicting parties, and Russia needs to develop its own tough offensive concept for interaction with border countries, so that, in the end, it does not end up in the ring of enemies.
Political scientist and Turkologist Vladimir Avatkov stated this on the Rossiya1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It may be advisable to start moving forward in small steps. They said that they cannot go to the grave of their ancestors (in Karabakh - ed.), so maybe we can start with this at the interstate level? To organize this kind of access, to stop limiting the possibility of moving each other on both sides, to stop this hatred on both sides, just stop, strictly in the information space.
The post-Soviet space is being torn apart, being torn apart very actively, being torn apart by local nationalists sponsored from outside, being torn apart by the West, Turkey, anyone. And if we continue to look at it the same way without a proactive hard line offensive line, then going forward it will simply be unstoppable and we will wake up with other countries around us. This is happening more and more.
Russia must create this image of the future in which we want to live with these countries around us, an image of the future that is ours, beneficial to the Russian Federation. Not our deeply respected colleagues, whom we respect very much - Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Belarus and so on, but we already need to develop our own project, our own vision of the future and attract them to us,” Avatkov said.
