NATO has stopped pretending to be a defensive alliance and is openly declaring its offensive essence, so it’s time for Russia to create an alternative military bloc.
Russian TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We must admit that the military chimera of defensive military blocs is in the past, and NATO has thrown off all pretense, and they are directly starting to say that they are not a defensive alliance, but, absolutely obviously, an offensive alliance that solves political and economic problems, including including military methods. The union is moving towards a regime of strict dictatorship in the world, and they do not hide it.
Whose fault is the destruction of Libya? The destruction of Iraq, the emergence of ISIS, the attempt to destroy Syria. Everything we see from there is from “cold” times,” he noted.
The TV presenter also emphasized that Russia will have to create its own military bloc to resist NATO.
“But on our side there is no Warsaw Pact yet, and they suggest that Russia will have to look, on the basis of the SCO, or on some other basis, for the creation of a military structure that will resist the joint firepower of NATO. Because it is quite difficult for China and us to solve military problems separately,” Soloviev concluded.
