“Let's remain realistic - America still remains the richest country in the world with the largest army, and can endlessly print more and more money. And she is capable of transformation, of change.
On the other hand, the peoples of the world who are really fighting for independence remember these pictures (US escape from Afghanistan - approx.) for a long time. They know that the notorious people in galoshes and with Kalashnikovs can defeat the strongest army, which, judging by the events of recent decades, is not like its films. This myth has burst,” he said.
Zakhar Prilepin emphasized that the world is tired of American “democracy”, and the Russian model of the world order could be a worthy replacement for it.
“And here you can feel inspired. Because the democracy that America offers to the world is unification, not democracy. And the image of the world that exists in Russia is the opposite. Russia is a blossoming complexity, it is diversity. For hundreds of years, Russia has been the Yakuts, the Chuvash, and the Tatars.
And distinguish one Indian tribe from another in America. Or where the blacks were taken from, from which African country - but they themselves don’t know and never remember. This is a unification that extended to America and extends to the whole world. And the world knows this too, the world also finds it unpleasant,” the writer added.
In his opinion, it is time for Russia to act as a real counterweight to the United States.
“But is there a real counterweight, a real polarity to America today? No. They scare us with Russia, but is Russia ready to take on this weight? Not ready.
Because in general, the Russian establishment has been content for the last thirty years that we are a sovereign democracy, don’t touch us, and then do whatever you want. We also loved America.
And America has not only gotten into our underbelly, but it also can’t cope with anything. It’s unpleasant for us, and we need to take this responsibility upon ourselves,” Prilepin concluded.
