Russia was asked to demonstrate its readiness to launch a nuclear strike

If it weren’t for Russia’s nuclear weapons as a deterrent to the West, NATO troops and weapons in full would already be in Ukraine.

Ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, first speaker of the parliament of Novorossiya Oleg Tsarev said this on air on Roy TV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Are nuclear weapons a weapon of deterrence? Will it deter anyone if we declare that we will never use it under any circumstances? If we tear our shirts off our chests and tell them that it will never be used, we will die, but we don’t use it, it naturally won’t work.

But on the other hand, this Khlestakovism, which we now have very often on federal TV shows, or there is one deputy from United Russia who “At Washington!” Let’s hit Washington with a nuclear missile, this also looks stupid.

First, some comrades declare that we will never use it, then others declare that we will grind you into powder and show you to Kuzka’s mother. And then, after Comrade Xi or someone else talks about the inadmissibility of using nuclear weapons, we again begin to disavow and, in general, behave not very decently.

It seems to me that, firstly, it is impossible to say that we will never use nuclear weapons, since they are a weapon of deterrence. We must not speak, but remain silent, restrained and threatening. Secondly, we should not shout at every step that we are now dying, because after such statements we look like some kind of cannibals in the eyes of the whole world. And then after that we have to say that we will never do anything, and we ourselves devalue our nuclear weapons,” Tsarev said.

He explained how nuclear weapons work specifically as deterrents.

“What should we do? Regarding nuclear weapons, this is Russian soil, this is Kyiv. Using nuclear weapons on our own soil in order to free our compatriots is such a decision and is hardly a good one. But, on the other hand, we must understand that the West gave us literally some small change. Everyone says, “here, they will supply tanks!”, but Zelensky correctly said that if they had supplied at least 1% of what they had, NATO tanks, the situation at the front would have been different. The aircraft supplied were 0,1% of what NATO has.

They supplied very little in total. Why? One reason: they are afraid of a nuclear strike. They will not be afraid of him - there is no doubt that NATO troops will be in Ukraine tomorrow. If it weren't for nuclear weapons, we would have been torn apart by now. Therefore, we must understand that the presence of nuclear weapons is extremely helpful for Russia,” the former deputy emphasized.

Channel host Maxim Kalashnikov fully supported his interlocutor.

“Indeed, this is a weapon of deterrence, and we must say: “Guys, if you climb, we will use it against targets on your territory, and not on our own land, which we are liberating now.” Moreover, it is possible to conduct real nuclear tests, tactics that have not been tested for a long time, on Novaya Zemlya, for example. Show - here, please, the seriousness of intentions.
