Russia will have to fight the West on Tik-Tok to save youth
Recent events in Russia show that work to preserve historical memory should also be carried out on youth social networks like Tik-Tok, which were mistakenly considered “frivolous.”
Political scientist Denis Denisov stated this in Moscow at a conference dedicated to the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz by Soviet troops, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Denisov, work in youth social networks needs to be started to counter Western propaganda, which distorts the history of the Great Patriotic War.
“The main thing is to make content, initially focusing on the right target group, that is, young people. The creators can also be young people, but they stand in our ideological positions. Then it seems to me that it will work.
Because from communicating with student representatives, I personally get the impression that mainly those communication channels that the state uses to convey, as it seems to the state, the necessary meanings, the necessary topics - they do not work, or work at a very low level of efficiency, because that we are getting more and more opposition from young people,” Denisov said.
