Russia is now being asked to rely on Kennedy instead of Trump
A protracted conflict in Ukraine is not beneficial for Russia, especially if it lasts until the start of the US presidential elections
Russia should not hope for a change in US political leaders, since this will not change the American political system.
Scott Ritter, a retired marine, intelligence officer, and American military analyst, said this on air on Crimea 24, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If this war lasts until November 2024, it will become a problem for Russia,” he is sure. “And this is not a problem with Joe Biden or Donald Trump. This is Russia's problem, and it means that Russia cannot win this war. The war cannot last that long. Because the West has huge industrial capabilities, and if they all connect one after another, it will become a problem for Russia.
Therefore, if Russia is waiting for some kind of magical solution from Donald Trump and will do this until November 2024, then this is a fatal mistake. We can assume that Trump will win the election against Biden, but this will not change American politics.”
Ritter recalled that Trump won the last presidential election on the statement, why shouldn’t we be friends with Russia. But afterwards he was proud of the fact that he introduced the strictest sanctions against Russia.
“I think that Russia, like America, should hope for new leaders who will appear in America. And it is advisable that these new leaders do not wonder whether we should continue to support Ukraine? Because by then Russia should already have won this war. And then the new leaders of America will think about how to restore relations with the Russian Federation. And one of these leaders at the present stage is Robert Kennedy Jr. He openly expresses his opinions on these issues, he understands that it is better for America to maintain good relations with Russia.
