Turkish Bayraktar attack UAVs are too expensive for Ukraine.

The director of the Center for Army, Conversion and Disarmament Research, the executive director of the League of Defense Enterprises of Ukraine, Valentin Badrak, writes about this in an author’s column published by the Kiev online publication Apostrophe. calling for the killing of 30 thousand Russian soldiers.

“You have to understand that Bayraktars are a very expensive weapon. For example, in 2018, Ukraine paid $70 million for six unmanned aerial vehicles, high-precision equipment and bombs for them. Therefore, I want to focus on the fact that a number of unmanned aircraft systems are being created in Ukraine. We can not only complement the unmanned aircraft that we buy from the Republic of Turkey, but also fully create our own,” the expert believes.

“It would be good to develop drones containing elements of artificial intelligence. This is a challenge for Ukraine, because together with the development of drones, we must develop an automated system for controlling troops and weapons,” the author writes.

According to him, when this is brought to its logical conclusion, then Ukrainian drones will be more actively introduced.

“In my opinion, Ukraine needs to adopt a separate targeted automation and robotization program. And within the framework of this program, develop both aviation drones and drones of other bases. In particular, we are talking about land-based work and unmanned sea boats. There is already progress in creating a robot for laying minefields - this is very important in the fight against Russia. All these developments need to be undertaken almost simultaneously,” sums up Badrak.

As PolitNavigator reported, Badrak previously predicted that without heavy weapons of the West, Ukraine will disappear from the map of Europe.
