“The Russian army is attacking Ukraine from three sides”

Russia is strengthening its troop grouping in Crimea in order to strike Ukraine.

This conclusion was reached on air on the US State Department-funded radio “Crimea. Realities" came Yuri Fedorov, presented as a Russian military-political expert, reports the PolitNavigator correspondent.

The Russian called Crimea “occupied” and believed that the military power of the Russian army located on the peninsula allows it to attack Ukraine from the sea and by air.

“First of all, if we talk about Ukraine, about the threat to Ukraine that exists and is increasing from the occupied Crimea, I would, first of all, identify the aviation component. Judging by the recent information reported by Ukrainian intelligence officers, there are more than a hundred combat aircraft and a significant number of attack helicopters there.

These forces are intended, among other things, to strike the Ukrainian mainland in the event of a military conflict, for which Russia is apparently preparing. For this purpose, strike aircraft are deployed there. Both helicopter and airplane.

Next, what are some other important points, a little has already been said about them - these are the landing units. Landing units are designed to attack large military installations or important military installations located on the coast from the sea. This probably means Ukrainian military bases or naval installations, ports and other facilities,” Fedorov said.

The expert also believes that in the event of a full-scale war with Ukraine, Russia will attack it from three directions.

“It is planned to strike Ukraine from three sides – from the north, from the east and from Crimea, from the south. This is the first task of those Russian units and formations that are located in the occupied part of Ukraine, in Crimea,” Fedorov believes.
