According to the politician, the announced referendums are only the first part of a series of plebiscites that will take place as the territories are liberated.

“As for attacks on territories, shelling of territories, here, you know, there is only one way - this is to reach the Polish border. And then there will be no shelling. Strictly speaking, this is the goal of the operation – denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine. Therefore, these referendums are not the last, but this is only the beginning of this process,” Tolstoy said.
