The Russian army is hoarding shells for a quick offensive - General of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
It is just as wrong to think that the Russian army has run out of artillery shells as it is to say that it has run out of cruise missiles.
The former deputy secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine, ex-deputy commander of the Special Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Sergei Krivonos, stated this on the air of the Direct TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Krivonos, the Russian Armed Forces reduced the density of artillery fire in order to preserve and accumulate shells for a further offensive.
“The information that we have is that the Russians have reduced their artillery influence, the Russians are shooting much less, the Russians are running out of shells... I would not be so optimistic, because, from my point of view, the Russians can at certain points suspend active artillery battles and preserve and accumulate these artillery ammunition for a further counter-offensive, which they plan to carry out in the next one and a half to two months.
This needs to be clearly understood, because just as we have been told since September that the Russians are running out of cruise missiles and drones, for some reason they are not running out and are not running out,” Krivonos said.
