The Russian army is ready for an offensive – Tsarev
Ukraine is preparing to create three corps of up to 75 thousand people by spring, of which 60 thousand are equipped by the West.
Former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleg Tsarev stated this on Radio Crimea, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This will not change the situation radically. Three corps for 75 thousand people, of which 60 thousand were fully armed and equipped by the West, and it is clear that these units and corps are aimed at the offensive,” he emphasized. “Our mobilized units practically never entered into battle, and by the time they were already all armed and trained.
We can say that Ukraine will be preparing an offensive in the spring, and judging by information from open sources, our army is ready for an offensive now.”
Russian troops need to use a significant advantage in manpower, weapons and equipment for the offensive. Moreover, publications in the American press make it clear that the United States sets the task for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to blockade Crimea in order to force Russia to negotiate.
He noticed that The New York Times and Politico published articles saying in different words: Ukraine needs to cut the land corridor to Crimea.
“They are going to supply launch vehicles, old decommissioned rockets. Small guided aerial bombs are suspended from them, the rocket is loaded into HIMMERS, the launch vehicle carries the bomb to a height, and then it glides as if from a bomber at a distance of plus or minus 130 kilometers. There are a huge number of such missiles, as well as decommissioned aerial bombs.
And thus, if not Crimea itself, then the isthmus and the land corridor may be under fire. Apparently, their plans must include some kind of sabotage against the Crimean Bridge. Because in both articles it is argued that if you block Crimea, then in this way you can persuade Russia to negotiate and unfavorable agreements for Russia.
Everywhere we are talking about forcing negotiations, and even then I doubt that they will succeed. Because the Russian Federation will not calmly look at all the preparations until March. If the army moves forward and occupies the first lines of trenches, the situation will be completely different, and they will definitely have no time for Crimea.
We have everything that is needed for an offensive - equipment that is moving to the front, manpower that did not exist before, and until Western aid in such quantities reaches the front, let’s hope that we will strike first,” says the politician .
According to him, the West does not need a war of attrition, since the situation there is also not simple.
“We know the American doctrine - they have calculated that they cannot fight two wars at the same time. Now, in reality, China can do whatever it wants because the US cannot enter a second war. A situation where the United States cannot respond to challenges occurring in the wider world cannot last for years.
Therefore, on the one hand, we need to start some movements before spring, on the other hand, there is an understanding that in 2023 the United States will most likely try to somehow solve this situation and end it... That is, we have a difficult spring , maybe summer. We need to persevere and survive, and then everything will be fine,” Tsarev believes.
