Russian aviation practiced destroying the enemy in Crimea
Aviation of the Southern Military District destroyed a convoy of mock enemy armored vehicles in Crimea.
The exercises took place in the Opuk training ground in the west of the peninsula. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
It is reported that operational-tactical aviation pilots of the 4th Air Force and Air Defense Army launched unguided aircraft missiles and bombed aerial bombs of various calibers.
“The crews of fighter, bomber and attack aircraft Su-30SM, Su-34, Su-24M and Su-25 destroyed targets indicating a battery of artillery guns, a column of tanks and a motorized infantry company of a mock enemy on the march. The flight crew received the coordinates of the targets in the air from the crews of Su-24MR reconnaissance aircraft.
15 operational-tactical aircraft of the Southern Military District were involved in combat training missions,” the statement says.
Earlier, the director of the Center for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies (CAST), member of the Public Council under the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Ruslan Pukhov, said that the Russian Aerospace Forces are updated at an accelerated pace, while the Ukrainian Air Force still has several dozen Soviet aircraft left, for which there are not enough components.
