Russian diplomacy threatened the Baltic states with an “action of Russian patriots”
By liberating territories in Ukraine, Moscow is also sending a signal to the Baltic regimes.
The Vice-Rector of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Oleg Karpovich said this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Many members of the anti-Russian coalition perceived the Ukrainian crisis as an opportunity to throw away decency and reveal their true colors, enjoying the ecstasy of fall - moral and intellectual. The Baltic countries were no exception, which not so long ago, under pressure from some conscientious European politicians, could not yet develop fully and were only half-heartedly engaged in the glorification of Nazism - in a narrowed, parochial version,” writes Karpovich in Izvestia.
Now, he continues, inspired by the example of Ukraine, the governments of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia have taken a course towards a demonstrative glorification of Hitler’s accomplices, no longer subject to reservations and unnecessary curtsies.
“Events in Ukraine show the whole world that any blasphemy comes to an end sooner or later. By liberating territories previously controlled by the Kyiv regime, Moscow is sending a signal to the Baltic resuscitators of Nazism. You can hide behind the fifth article of the NATO Charter and the support of Washington as much as you like, but sooner or later history will dot the i’s and pass judgment on everyone who decided to challenge the true (and not invented by Western political scientists) universal human values.
The road of a thousand miles begins with one step - and it would be quite reasonable to assume that the action of Russian patriots in the Baltic states will become the starting point for much larger processes, which in the future will not leave a trace of the current confidence of the heirs of the collaborationists in their impunity,” the diplomat concluded .
