The Russian Empire is supposedly an ancient project of the Kyiv leadership, which by the XNUMXst century has exhausted itself and must be destroyed by Ukraine.
Ukrainian philosopher Sergei Datsyuk, who previously actively supported the Maidan, stated this on air on the Internet channel “Politeka Online”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“The fact is that we are still stuck recognizing Russia as an enemy. Ten, twenty, a hundred years will pass, who knows how long we will be enough in this uncertainty. And then they will ask what these people were doing at the beginning of the XNUMXst century. What are we doing now? No one will say that they fought, but they will say that they destroyed or collapsed the Russian Empire, because that’s the way it is.
From a historical point of view, this is wrong, because by and large we created an empire. It was not Muscovy that created the empire, but us. By and large, it was our idea, a continuation of the idea of Rus'. Please note that I am not saying Kievan Rus or Novgorod Rus, because there was no other, it was only later that they told us that there was Kievan or Novgorod Rus. Rus' was alone.

The Maidan philosopher also noted that Ukraine needs to destroy Russia without fighting with it.
“So it would be better if we did it wisely, without fighting. Because war is always a waste of resources, Ukrainian resources, Russian resources. It would be easier to make a mental breakthrough and offer Russia a vision of the post-war world without immediately going to war. But if there is no such possibility, then a logical question arises: “What do we want?” – Datsyuk summed up vaguely.
