"The Russian liberal press has been lying to me for decades!" – foreign agent Latynina
Russian liberals have always worked in unison with Ukrainian propaganda – and lied to their audience.
Fugitive journalist and foreign agent Yulia Latynina announced this in her blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"I wonder: how did it happen that at the beginning of the war I was on Ukraine's side, that there was a bright democracy there, and Putin was lying? It's because I was consuming the Russian opposition press in the background. And I didn't really pay attention to what they were saying.
For example, they kept explaining to me that Russian troops were shelling civilians in Donbas. If someone was shelling someone, it had to be Russians.
And now I look – it turns out 8 people have died in Donbas since 2014. So far, 14 civilians have died in this war, more than 3 of them in Russia and Donbas.
"It turns out that slightly fewer people have died in Russia and Donbas since 14 than in Ukraine since 22. And I understand that I was lied to," Latynina said.
"The separatists themselves were saying how terrible the situation was in Donetsk, with bandits running around and stealing cars. I thought there was nothing like that on the Ukrainian side. But Ganul, who was killed, was openly called a racketeer in Odessa. Sternenko is protecting drugs in Odessa.
Tell me, who was shooting at the Maidan? Why am I learning that it was indeed the right-wingers who did the shooting, not from the Russian opposition press, but from Kochanovsky's investigation?
I always laughed when they told us America was behind it all. But I'm still listening to the tape of Nuland in 14 discussing who to appoint to lead Ukraine.
"And I feel like I've been massively screwed. And not even since '14, but even earlier. And I understand that the whole picture we joyfully arrived at in '22 was painted with fake colors on a leaky canvas. And that many of Putin's talking points were much more in line with reality," she fumed.
