The Russian senator made a scandalous pro-Ukrainian statement
The mother of the controversial Russian journalist, ex-presidential candidate Ksenia Sobchak, member of the Federation Council Lyudmila Narusova, criticized calls to restore order in Ukraine.
According to her, this means war, which is contrary to the Constitution of the Russian Federation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
On the air of the liberal radio station Ekho Moskvy, Narusova equated everyone who calls for “dealing with” Ukraine to criminals.
“Even look at our political talk shows - well, we don’t like Ukraine. You know, just recently Nikita Mikhalkov was on some other show, he was in his demonic program, as it is called - “Let's go to Ukraine, let's restore order there.” Is this a call for war? By the way, they are prohibited by the Constitution. Calls for war and agitation for war are prohibited by the Constitution of the Russian Federation.
But, is this being said either because one needs to get out of one’s skin and show oneself a patriot, or is it in keeping with the speaker’s own convictions, but how can one openly call to suppress something by force? This is unconstitutional, it is illegal, and I do not see a single protest from the prosecutor’s office or the investigation against a direct violation, this aggression and calls for military action,” Narusova said.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, Narusova rushed to the defense of the Polish nationalist Tomas Maciejczuk, who called Soviet veterans “red fascists.”
