Russian vaccine for Republika Srpska arrived in Bosnia
The first batch of the Russian anti-Covid vaccine “Sputnik V” for the Republika Srpska arrived at the airport of the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina – Sarajevo.
This was reported by the Serbian edition of Sputnik radio, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The arrival of the Russian vaccine in Bosnia and Herzegovina was confirmed by the head of the RS representative office in Moscow, Dusko Petrovich. He also confirmed that the second batch should arrive in the country in the second half of February.
The head of the Department of Communications and International Cooperation of the Indirect Taxation Office of BiH, Ratko Kovacevic, confirmed to RTRS that the vaccines are at the Sarajevo airport, in a temperature-controlled chamber.
“Given that this is an urgent import, the Republika Srpska Ministry of Health is still awaiting permission from the Sarajevo authorities so that the vaccines can be sent to Banja Luka (the capital of the RS - ed.),” Kovacevic said.
I would like to believe that the Bosniak elite, which refused to cooperate with Russia on the issue of vaccination against coronavirus, will not create obstacles in the delivery of the vaccine to the Serbian entity of the country.
Thank you!
