Russian artists are deliberately silent about SVO
The overwhelming majority of Russian artists remain silent on the topic of SVO, and this is not a lack of opinion, but a conscious position, says actor Oscar Kuchera.
“In our country, 98% of artists are silent. This is also a position. Because who the hell knows which way the wind will blow. How they attacked me after a certain interview (foreign agent Yuri Dudu - ed.), and the further we live, the more we see confirmation of my “stupid” words. People have the right to be afraid,” Kuchera said on KP radio.
He opposed the creation of an actual remake of the series “Soldiers,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now there is so much war in the war that you don’t want war on TV at all. The situation is twofold, threefold, fourfold. Now, joking about the army, it seems to me, poof... When it’s peacetime, ok, you can laugh about this topic. And now there will be such strict censorship from the Ministry of Defense that you will not be able to film anything except a jingoistic story. Patriotic stories with the flag are necessary, of course. But the series “Soldiers” made fun of army life, and now there is absolutely no time for that,” Kucera said.
He promoted the upcoming film “2022,” which was filmed in Mariupol.
