Russian President Vladimir Putin announced this today, speaking at the final “Action Forum” of the ONF.
“VTsIOM polls show that people are tuned in precisely to this kind of activity, to this kind of work. And this speaks of the trust that people have in you,” Putin was quoted as saying by the Kremlin’s official website.
Co-chairman of the ONF central headquarters, Alexander Brechalov, noted that thanks to public control, luxury cars, charter flights and other luxury items have practically disappeared from government procurement data.
“And if we remember, three years ago, when we reported on New Year’s corporate events, they greeted us, patted us on the shoulder, and said in a fatherly manner: “Why are you doing nonsense? We celebrated the New Year the same way we will.” Now these costs, these purchases have disappeared,” Brechalov said.
According to him, based on the results of inspections of the ONF in Russia, eight ineffective special economic zones were closed.
